Project Description: 
  • Instructions to make one vest. Following the directions makes a vest 25” in length.  There is enough yarn to make the vest 30″ in length.  If you want the vest to be longer, you will need more yarn.
  • 8-shaft draft.
  • 30 EPI, 16 total PPI.
  • Width in the reed: 24”.
Equipment Needed:
  • 8-shaft loom.
  • 10 or 15 dent reed.
  • 2 shuttles, 2 bobbins.
  • Special equipment needed: large steam pot with lid. Rack and a piece of cloth to make a “hammock” to hold fabric inside the pot while steaming.

Dianne has been a weaver for 40 years and a teacher for twenty-five.  Her expertise in sewing complements her passion for weaving. In addition, she enjoys creating whimsical rag rugs, placemats, wall hangings, etc. with design inlay, a fun way to use up her fabric stash.  She teaches at John C.
