Free Shipping:

We are offering Free Shipping within the Continental United States on orders totaling over $150 of merchandise. (Taxes, shipping, discounts, and coupons excluded.)  This promotion only applies to retail customers in the Continental US, and cannot be combined with other coupons.  The type of service and the carrier will be selected by Lunatic Fringe Yarns.  Typical delivery times are 4-14 business days.  To use the Free Shipping coupon, enter WeaveFree2024 into the coupons section of your cart.

Some free shipping exclusions apply:

Some oversized items are not eligible for free shipping.  These items include but are not limited to:  Looms, Raddles and 48-inch warp guard.  Taxes, shipping, discounts, and coupons are not taken into account for the $150 minimum purchase.  If you have a gift certificate to pay for the order, you may need to call us to place the order for the free shipping to be included.

General Domestic Shipping Policy:

We ship primarily by UPS Ground, US Priority Mail and Ground Advantage through the US Postal Service within the Continental United States. All three shipping methods allow for tracking and up to $100 of postal insurance.  

The postage rates for each method will be displayed in the shopping cart, and you may choose the option that best fits your needs.  USPS Priority Mail typically delivers 3-7 business days after the package leaves our warehouse. Ground Advantage is typically a day or two slower than Priority Mail, and UPS Ground typically delivers 3-7 business days after the package leaves our warehouse.  Our warehouse is located in Fruitland, Idaho, so you can estimate how long packages will take to arrive at your door.  We try hard to ship packages within 2 business days of receiving the order.  However, there are occasional delays as a result of item availability, winding times and order volume.  Once we process your order, you will receive an email with tracking information.  If you do not see this email in your inbox, please check your spam folder because some email programs view emails from “Lunatic Fringe” as suspicious!  And please feel free to contact us via email at [email protected] if you have questions about your order.

We try very hard to keep shipping costs down, so you pay for more yarn and less shipping.  To accomplish this, we have both the UPS and USPS shipping calculators attached to our shopping cart get you the most accurate shipping rates.

Please be aware that package theft can be a problem, especially during holiday times.  Once a package has been delivered to the address on the order, we cannot be responsible for it’s safety.  We can require a signature on your package for an additional fee. 

The insurance covers the cost of the package if it is lost, but not if it arrives later than anticipated.  Sadly, we can not control what the post office or UPS do with your package once it leaves our hands.  If it has gone astray, we will do our best to help you locate and retrieve the package.  Most packages do arrive where they are headed, sometimes they just take a little trip around a few blocks before arriving at your door.

Alaska and Hawaii

We ship Priority Mail to Alaska and Hawaii, unless you prefer a different carrier. Rates are based on published Priority Mail rates. Check the shopping cart for the current rates.
