Gamps are a brilliant way to explore color interactions.  They will help you predict future color interactions and take the guesswork out of project planning. Use 10 colors of Tubular Spectrum™  100% mercerized cotton yarn to create 2 square gamps (approximately 12.5” square) and a table runner or scarf (approximately 12.5” x 57”). The gamps will be a lifetime reference to help you predict color combinations and give you better control over your woven results in future projects.  Each of the 10 cones included with this kit contains approximately 118 yards of yarn. Choose from either Tints, Brights or Tones colors.  All available on 1.5 oz cones.

The Tint colors are:  Butter Yellow, Tangerine, Coral, Verbena, Violet, Periwinkle, Sky Blue, Teal, Sea Green, and 5 Green Yellow.

Lee Surrender Placemat Instructions

This overshot pattern is stunning! The finished size of these placemats are approximately 13.5” x 18.5”.  Lee’s Surrender is an overshot pattern that uses 4 harnesses.  The pattern listed comes from Marguerite Porter Davison’s book A Handweaver’s Pattern Book on page 184.

Weaving overshot is fun…you will weave with two shuttles.  One shuttle carries the pattern yarn, and the other shuttle carries the tabby or tie-down yarn.

Kitchen Set with a Sense of Place

Weave a whole set for your table with one loom set up!  Create 4 placemats and 4 napkins as well as a dishtowel.  The placemats are woven in rep weave, and the napkins and towels can be woven in plain weave, twill, or block weaves.  All you have to do after weaving the napkins and towels is to resley your loom to narrow the warp for the placemats. You can weave these on 2, 4, or 8+ harness looms.  Available in 4 colorways.
