Peak into this weaverly interpretation of the quilters 9-Patch pattern, in 2 of our favorite sustainable yarns: Lyte Hemp™ and American Maid™ Cotton!. Combine gorgeous 2-ply Lyte Bold hemp warp with the 5 colors of 10/2 American Maid™ naturally colored cotton grown here in the American west and spun in the US to weave 5 lovely fingertip towels (finished size approximately 13” x 22”).

Seaside Towels Instructions
Join us for a stroll along the beach and enjoy the colorful waves in these Seaside towels! We have used the wonderful color palette of the Maurice Brassard unmercerized cotton yarns to dream up the seaside colorways for these soft towels.
RIGID HEDDLE KIT: Instructions to make two plaid towels using a rigid heddle loom: one woven in plain weave, and one woven in a soft pickup pattern. The finished sizes of the towels are approximately 12.5” x 20”.
4 SHAFT KIT: Instructions to make 4 delightful plaid towels: two woven in plain weave, and two woven in rosepath pattern. Includes 4 shaft instructions. The finished sizes of the towels are approximately 18” x 26”.

Unmercerized Cotton Yarn – 30/2 Natural White
This 30/2 Unmercerized Cotton Yarn is wonderful for lightweight fabrics. Make that summer blouse or delicate table linens in unmercerized cotton. Natural White color, unbleached yarn. Available on approximately 1 lb cones.
8/16 Repp Filler – Maurice Brassard
If you want to weave place mats or table runners in Rep weave, this is an ideal thick weft! It is the thick weft that is used in the Sizzling Hot Pads Kit and the Metamorphic Placemats Kit.
These unmercerized 8/16 cotton yarns are amazing to work with. The yarn is soft, absorbent, and it comes in a wide range of colors. One cone is enough to weave 5-6 place mats! We are impressed with the softness of the resulting fabrics. We have also been impressed with the wash fastness of the colors.
We currently have 15 colors in stock, but we can order this yarn in any of the Maurice Brassard colors! Please let us know if you need another color.

Naturally Colored Spa Towel Kit

Au Natural Towel Kit
This towel kit from DJE Handwovens features our American Maid™ naturally color cotton yarn. This kit makes two towels and comes with either green or brown cotton yarns. The warp is prewound and ready to put directly onto your loom. Weave with either a Rigid Heddle loom or other 2 shaft loom. As with all of the naturally colored cotton yarns, the colors deepen with washing!
Waterfall Towels
This towel kit from DJE Handwovens features American Maid™ naturally colored cotton yarn (natural white yarn for the warp with either dark green or dark brown for the weft). We have included instructions to make these washcloths on either a rigid heddle loom or a 4-shaft loom. The washcloths are made with natural white as the warp and colors for the weft. 3/2 American Maid Washcloth Instructions
Looking for a quick project to use the wonderful 3/2 American Maid™ yarns? How about a simple pattern to make ten soft washcloths? These instructions work on either a rigid heddle loom or a 4-shaft loom. The washcloths are made with natural white unmercerized cotton yarn as the warp, and naturally grown cotton yarns for the weft. We give you detailed instructions to make one wash cloth, and then you get to choose how to weave the others…there is enough yarn to weave 10 washcloths. The finished sizes of the washcloths are approximately 9” x 10”.
The instructions are designed with the naturally colored cotton yarns from an 3/2 American Maid™ sampler kit, one 8 oz cone of 3/2 American Maid™ natural white and one 1.5 oz cone of 6/2 American Maid natural white for the hems.

Seine Twine – Cotton
This 100% unmercerized cotton seine twine is ideal for high tension warps. Especially Rug warps and Tapestry Warps. There is very little stretch in this yarn, the tight twist makes the yarn very strong, and it wears like iron. The natural color is an economical choice for warp in weft faced projects where the warp will be covered by a colorful weft.

Kitchen Set with a Sense of Place
Weave a whole set for your table with one loom set up! Create 4 placemats and 4 napkins as well as a dishtowel. The placemats are woven in rep weave, and the napkins and towels can be woven in plain weave, twill, or block weaves. All you have to do after weaving the napkins and towels is to resley your loom to narrow the warp for the placemats. You can weave these on 2, 4, or 8+ harness looms. Available in 4 colorways.
