4 Season Towel Instructions

Step into the colors of the Seasons!  By weaving on a natural white warp made from our American Maid™ unmercerized Cotton yarns, you can create 4 distinctly different colored towels.  The weft yarn is 8/2 unmercerized cotton yarn from Maurice Brassard.  The instructions include 4 different treadlings using the same draft, so no need to rethread to create entirely different towels.  These towels will bring a riot of color to your kitchen or bath!  4 and 8-shaft instructions.  4 different 8-shaft treadlings, 1 4-shaft treadling.

Blueberry Pie Scarves

Mmmm…Woven pie!  Using a 4-shaft loom and a combination of 10/2 and 20/2 Tubular Spectrum™ Mercerized cotton yarn, these scrumptious, drapey scarves are woven with perfect pie shaped motifs.  The two different scarves are created by changing only the weft color.  And with the 20/2 weft, the scarves have a wonderful iridescence.  All on 4 shafts and woven with a single shuttle.  The kit contains all the yarn you need to make both scarves.

Moonlight Sonata Napkin Instructions

Here are the instructions to weave an elegant set of 4 napkins for that romantic dinner you have planned.  Or plan one around these lovely napkins.  You can weave them all the same or use different treadlings for each napkin for a matching, yet different set.  The 4 napkins will be approximately 15” x 15” when finished.

This overshot name draft kit by dje Handwovens uses our very own American Maid™ natural color cotton yarns to make 4 placemats.

The natural color green or golden tan cottons used for the pattern get darker with washing! Warp length allows for 20″ thrum waste plus allowances for take-up, tie on. Maximum weaving length is 76″. Finished width: 13″

Kit makes either 4 placemats (13″ wide x 16.5″ Long) or 4 towels or one 72″ long runner—or any combination you decide!

“Colorplay” 2 Towel Kit

Play with color in this 8-shaft false Damask 2 towel kit featuring 4 colors of our Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn. The towels are woven on the same warp, just change the weft color for the large blocks on the second towel. The false damask creates blocks of color that appear to be woven together! And with the warp already wound, it’s a fun, fast, easy weave.
