I love Chasing Rainbows – the reward at the end of the rain! This kit from DJE Handwovens features 6 colors of our Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn and makes 4 napkins. The napkins are fun color play and can be woven on rigid heddle (need two 8 dent heddles) or 2-shaft table and floor looms. With the warp already wound, this is a fast and easy weave for all experience levels. Can’t bring yourself to use the napkins? It can be a lovely table runner or set of 2 placements or towels.

This kit comes from DJE Handwovens and is made with our Tubular Spectrum™ Mercerized Cotton yarns.
Project Description:
- 4 Napkins woven in Plain Weave: 12.5″ square
- OR…2 Placemats: 12.5″ x 22″
- OR…1 runner 12.5″ x 48″
- Pre-wound warp in 5/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn ready to go on your loom.
- Warp length is 94 inches, allowing 16.5 inches weaving length per napkin, 10 inches allowance for tie-on and shrinkage, and 20 inches thrum waste.
- 16 EPI, 16 PPI
Equipment needed:
- Rigid Heddle loom or small 2-shaft loom
- 15″ weaving width
- 8 dent reed to be sleyed 2 per dent or two 8 dent rigid heddles if you are using a rigid heddle loom
Please note: If you are using a rigid heddle loom, you will need two 8 dent heddles to get the necessary sett.
