Lee Surrender Pillowtop Instructions & WIF File

Weave 4 spectacular Lee’s Surrender Pillow Tops using 21 Colors of Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn. These pillows will liven up any room in your home!
The finished size of the pillow covers is about 18” x 18”. Lee’s Surrender is an overshot pattern that uses 4 shafts. The pattern comes from Marguerite Porter Davison’s book A Handweaver’s Pattern Book on page 184.
Weaving overshot is fun…you will weave with two shuttles. One shuttle carries the pattern yarn, and the other shuttle carries the tabby or tie down yarn.
Project Description:
- 4 Pillow tops
- 4-shaft overshot
- 24 EPI, 20-22 PPI
- 21.3″ in reed
Equipment Needed:
- 4-shaft loom (minimum) with at least a 20-inch weaving width
- 12 dent reed
- 2 shuttles, one for the single strand of 10/2 black tabby weft and one for doubled 10/2 weft in 20 colors.
- 20- 1.5 oz cones of 10/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarns in your choice of colors. (See below for our color recommendations.)
- 1- 8 oz cone of 10/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn in Black.
Yarn Needed:
- 1- 1.5 oz cone 10/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn each: 10 Yellow, 5 Yellow, 10 Yellow Red, 5 Yellow Red, 10 Red, 5 Red, 10 Red Purple, 5 Red Purple, 10 Purple, 5 Purple, 10 Purple Blue, 5 Purple Blue, 10 Blue, 5 Blue, 10 Blue Green, 5 Blue Green, 10 Green, 5 Green, 10 Green Yellow, 5 Green Yellow
- 1- 8oz cone 10/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn: Black.
