Stars on the Water Pillow Top Instructions/WIF

Decorate your home with these delightful, cuddly pillows. Designed with 4 colors of stars dancing on a pool of Navy Blue! Made with 5/2 yarn, these are a quick and easy project! You will want to snuggle up with one of these pillows! Add the full WIF file if you want to play with the draft in your weaving software or use the WIF file to weave the pillow tops. The WIF file shows all the picks needed to weave the pillow tops.
Project Description:
- 2 Pillows or 4 Pillow tops, approximately 17” x 17” finished pillows.
- 8-Shaft Color-and-Weave Draft.
- 21.5” wide in reed. 16 EPI, 16 PPI
- 5/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn.
Yarn Needed:
- One – 1.5 oz mini cone of 5/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn: Middle Gray, Light Gray, Very Light Gray and Navy
- One – 4 oz cone of 5/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn: Bleached White
- One – 8 oz cone of 5/2 Tubular Spectrum™ mercerized cotton yarn: Navy.
Equipment Needed:
- 8-Shaft Loom with at least 22” weaving width.
- 8 dent reed, or reed suitable for 16 EPI.
- 2 Shuttles with 4 bobbins
Also Needed to Finish the Pillows:
- 16” or 18” pillow forms
- Coordinating thread for sewing pillows
- 1-yard of coordinating fabric if you want the handwoven fabric to be just the pillow tops
- Four 16” zippers and 1-yard of fusible nonwoven interfacing (both are optional)
