Woven Shadows Yarn Collection

This gorgeous shadow weave scarf was designed, spun and woven by Rebecca Winter and shown in Spin Off Magazine Winter 2025 issue!  Woven on 6-shafts, this shadow weave scarf is a great way to use your own handspun cotton yarn, or if you don’t want to spin the yarn, 8/2 cotton is a close substitute. We have collected the sliver or yarn needed for this project, and you can choose to order either a sliver or yarn collection.  The instructions are not included with the yarns or the EZ spin sliver.  You can get the instructions from Long Thread Media.  Click here for instructions.

Project Description:

  • 1 scarf
  • Finished Scarf:  7″ x 66″ plus 4″ fringe on both sides
  • 8.5″ wide in reed, 20 EPI, 20 PPI
  • 6-shaft draft

Equipment Needed:

  • Shaft Loom with at least 6-shafts
  • 10 dent reed, or reed to get to 20 EPI
  • 2 shuttles
