Soft and lively as a desert breeze, these towels are as fun to weave as they are to look at. Who knew you could get so much pattern from just 4 colors! Weaving stripes in both the warp and weft will create these amazing plaid towels. Choose your favorite colorway and either the Rigid Heddle or 4-Shaft Loom version.
Rigid Heddle Project Description:
- 2 Towels, approximately 13” x 22” finished.
- 10-dent reed: 15.7” wide in reed. 10 EPI, 10 PPI
- 18″ Loom waste (You will need more yarn if you need more loom waste!)
Equipment Needed:
- Rigid Heddle Loom (or any other loom that you can weave plain weave on) with at least 15.7” weaving width
- 10 dent reed.
- A stick or boat shuttle with 4 bobbins
Desert Breeze Kit Includes:
- One – 1.5 oz cone of 8/2 Maurice Brassard unmercerized cotton yarn: Chambray, and Peche.
- Two – 1.5 oz cones 8/2 Maurice Brassard unmercerized cotton yarn: Vieux Bleu.
- One – 1.5 oz cones of 8/2 American Maid™ unmercerized cotton yarn: Natural White.
Sequoia Breeze Kit Includes:

- 10-dent reed: 15.7” wide in reed. 20 EPI, 20 PPI
- 33″ Loom waste
