Hemp yarn is more economical than linen, and the sustainable crop grows well in moderate soils, uses less water than cotton and produces a large amount of fiber per acre. Currently there is no US production of hemp yarn in the US because of Federal Regulations and a lack of industrial capabilities. We are working toward helping make the US hemp industry grow.
Please note: this is the remainder of our original hemp yarn stock. What we have left is all there is of this yarn. We DO have new hemp yarn in stock. Please click here for more information about our Lyte Hemp yarns. These close-outs were made in Romania and are available on 400+g cones. These cones weigh at least 400g and may be as heavy as 500g.
Listed below are the yardages and recommended setts for all of the sizes of this Romanian hemp yarn that we ever sold. We only have yarn available in the sizes listed in the drop-down menus.
