New Tricks
If you have an older Wolf Loom, you can teach that old Wolf a few new tricks! Listed below are our replacement hardware and nifty ideas for your loom!
Heddle Bar Harbors
Spring tensioned heddle bar holders, catch and release easily and replace the old style 'J' hooks. These will not snag your warp or cause YOU undue stress each time you have to move your heddles around on the loom. Makes that set up time with your loom a little bit nicer.
Harbors for 4 harness loom
8 holders, two for each harness. ...................................................................$45
Harbors for 8 harness loom
16 holders, two for each harness. ...................................................................$90
Treadle Aid System:
Sometimes Baby Wolf looms have issues with the treadles not coming back up...to solve this problem, Schacht developed their treadle aid system. This system has two components: First, a wooden piece attached to the loom with holes drilled in it; Second, rubber bands to connect that wooden piece to the treadles. Never being contented with how things are, we Lunatics came up with our version of this system:
Jazz Bands
Jazz bands are our version of the rubber bands. They are made to be nearly unbreakable, and last a lifetime. Jazz Bands go through the holes in the treadle aid bar (see next listing for description of treadle aid bar) and then attach to the treadles.
Package of ten..................................................................................$8
Treadle Aid Bar
If you have an older wolf loom that doesn't already have the treadle aid, you can add one! 2 screws (yes, you have to drill the holes in your loom, but it really isn't hard!) hold this wooden piece in place and allow you to connect the jazz bands between the treadle aid and the treadles. The treadle aid is a wooden piece with 10 holes drilled in it. It is attached to the loom on the backside, right below where the harnesses rest.
one bar with screws.................................................................................$15
Beam Me Up Scotties
If you have the black cords that came with your Wolf Loom to attach your apron rods to the front and back beam, these cords are for you! The ten Beam Me Up Scotties are a more stable method to attach your apron rods. You won't have to think about adjusting them ever again.
Package of ten cords. ..........................................................................$10
