Jazz Bands

A New Trick to replace those rubber band uphaul cords

These black cords are our Jazz Bands. They go between the treadle aid bar on the back of the loom, and the treadles. Jazz Bands replace the rubber bands and wooden dowel that are supplied with your baby wolf loom.

The uphaul cords are there to help the treadles return to their neutral position after you depress them to create a shed. I guess sometimes we all get just too depressed to pop back up! The light weight of the baby wolf that we all appreciate as we are taking them to a workshop, has the minor disadvantage that the treadles are so light that they don't always pop back up.

Some older looms don't have the wooden bar on the back that has 10 holes drilled into it. You can add this treadle aid bar to the loom, and then use the Jazz bands with it.
